Matters of Form eBook Scott Wheeler Reviews
This is a standard sci-fi trope, and one that I like good aliens on the run from bad aliens enlist humans in their struggle and share some of their strange powers. Unfortunately, the writer presents this story as if he were explaining to us what he planned to do when he came up with some good dialog. Opportunities for big "reveals" (such as meeting the alien "Shan" are totally flat. The evil aliens are not brought to life. Some of the action scenes are good, but this badly needed a second or third draft. You can give it a try, but if you find yoursel less than satisfied after 50 or so pages, give up.
This story took me along for a great ride. Good characters, premise and some great twists. We could keep going with this story!
